Brothy Rice with Fried Egg
What the yolk is going on here? Think delicious broth-infused rice (you’ll never eat plain rice again) meets crispy fried egg and a cheeky chilli sprinkle for the ultimate lazy lunch. And to level it up, we’ve got Chicken Broth Concentrate bringing the depth, the flavour, and a stack of nutrients too. It's egg-cellent comfort food!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 tbsp Chicken Bone Broth Concentrate (Any)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp chives, chopped
- Pinch of chilli flakes
- Pinch of flakey sea salt
- Pinch of pepper
Method
- Add rice and water to a pot and bring to the boil.
- Add in Chicken Bone Broth Concentrate, stir through then turn down to a very gentle simmer. Cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small frypan, on medium heat, melt butter, then crack in your eggs. Cover with a lid until the top has set (but the yolk is still runny).
- Serve rice onto a plate, top with the eggs, chives, chilli flakes, sea salt and black pepper.
